Miles Arnone
Miles Arnone joined American Capital in September 2002 as a Vice President in the Operations Team and was promoted to Principal in 2004 and Managing Director in 2006. Previously, Mr. Arnone was Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Charterhouse Group International, a private equity firm with $1 billion under management. There, Mr. Arnone was responsible for conducting due diligence and managing portfolio companies. His assignments included work in the machine tool, electronics, and medical device industries.
Prior to his tenure at Charterhouse Group Mr. Arnone was President of Boston Digital Corporation, a machine tool builder with approximately $30 million in sales. While there he authored the reference work High Performance Machining, an implementation guide for recent innovations in CNC machining. His most recent work, America's Trading Partners: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly was published in November 2004.
Mr. Arnone holds graduate degrees in management and engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from MIT as well.
Alex Cory
Alex Cory joins Global Conference Partners as CEO; bringing with him more than twenty years of general management, strategy development, consulting, and new business development experience in enterprise software, Internet search, online marketing services and other industries. Mr. Cory's most recent experience includes being CEO of Neven Vision, a visual recognition technology leader that was sold to Google in 2006, and EVP at Overture Services for two year up to its sale to Yahoo!, where he was responsible for creating an online marketing services business and acquiring AltaVista and alltheweb.com to build a Web search business. Prior to this, he was CEO of an ASP software business, a strategist and a general manager at Cargill, and a management consultant at McKinsey.
Bill Dyer
Bill Dyer joined American Capital in 2002 as an Associate in the Philadelphia office and was promoted to Principal in 2006. Prior to joining American Capital, Mr. Dyer worked at FOB, Inc., as a Director of Business Development. Before FOB he worked at Bainbridge, Inc., a strategy consulting firm specializing in the medical industry. A co-founder and Director of Bainbridge, Mr. Dyer directed research and due diligence for a number of transactions in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals and medical products industries.
Mr. Dyer received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Duke University and an MBA in Finance with Honors from the University of Chicago.
Scott Jarus
Scott Jarus is CEO of Cognition Technologies, a company which has developed an evolutionary meaning-based linguistic Search technology that dramatically increases the precision and recall of Search results. Mr. Jarus is a serial entrepreneur with twenty-five years of management experience in the telecommunications industry, beginning with a company that built one of the world's first public packet-data switching networks. Prior to joining Cognition, he was chief executive of j2 Global Communications (NASDAQ: JCOM), who signature product, eFax®, serves more than 9.5 million customers in more than 1,500 cities in twenty-five countries on five continents. Mr. Jarus' background includes executive management at OnSite Access, RCN Telecom, Multimedia Medical Systems (which he co-founded) and Metromedia Communications.
Mr. Jarus serves on the Board of Directors of FreeConference.com, Ironclad Performance Wear Corp. (ICPW), and Forval International. He was named E&Y's 2005 Entrepreneur of the Year for Media, Entertainment and Communications. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Kansas.
Warren R. Jason
Warren Jason is a telecommunication entrepreneur who has conceived and implemented highly innovative, successful, pioneering applications in Computer Telephony and interactive voice response systems for over twenty years. He holds a B.A.degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland and an M.A. degree in Psychology from California Graduate Institute. Mr. Jason was the Founder of FreeConference.com, as well as the original network and systems architect, and supervising Web designer of the project. He has held lead systems analysis, programming and data processing positions at the University of Maryland, the Federal Communications Commission, California Federal Savings and Loan, Petersen Publishing Company and The Chancellor's Office of the California State University and College System.
